No shocking result in a game when third ranked CSKA Moscow (10-5) crushed at home 8th ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (4-10) 90-62. It looked good early as Triumph Lyubertsy took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CSKA Moscow took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 28 points. They made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. CSKA Moscow forced 21 Triumph Lyubertsy turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Triumph Lyubertsy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Alexey Shved (196-88, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 18 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International center Andrey Vorontsevich (204-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Egor Vyaltsev (192-85) who recorded 14 points and 5 assists and forward Valery Likhodey (204-86) added 12 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Lokomotiv. Triumph Lyubertsy at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. CSKA Moscow's next round opponent will be Lokomotiv (#3) in Kuban, which may be the game of the day. Triumph Lyubertsy will play on the road against Dynamo Moscow (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
