Rather expected game when 12th ranked Cegledi EKK (3-20) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Atomeromu (8-15) 87-76 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Cegledi EKK outrebounded Atomeromu 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 assists for the winners and swingman Jekatyerina Szavercsenko (180-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Serbian center Danijela Varda (195-74) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Regina Pap (186-94) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cegledi EKK's coach Salamon Endre let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Atomeromu maintains ninth place with 8-15 record. Loser Cegledi EKK keeps the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Atomeromu will meet at home higher ranked Bajai NKK (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
