Regular Season Round 16: Dynamo MO - Triumph 88-77

Bottom-ranked Dynamo Moscow managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy 88-77. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo Moscow. Triumph Lyubertsy managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Dynamo Moscow especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. The former international guard Victor Keyru (199-84) fired 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. International forward Alexey Zhukanenko (210-86, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Egor Vyaltsev (192-85) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and forward Valery Likhodey (204-86) added 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo Moscow (5-11) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with N.Novgorod. Triumph Lyubertsy lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Dynamo Moscow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Triumph Lyubertsy will play against the league's leader Unics Kazan (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
