Regular Season Round 22: Kormend - Kaposvari 103-77
Date: March 5, 2011
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Kormend (15-7) rolled over at home 12th ranked Kaposvari (6-16) 103-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. Kaposvari managed to win fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kormend shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 57.6 percentage. American players dominated also this game. Guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St.) notched 15 points, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and forward Rashad Bell (201-82, college: Boston U.) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kormend players scored in double figures. Kormend's coach Balazs Sabali felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds by center Kurt Cunningham (206-87, college: Boise St.) did not help to save the game for Kaposvari. Guard Josh Wilson (188-87, college: N.Arizona, agency: Beggs and Lane) added 18 points for lost side. Kormend maintains fourth position with 15-7 record. Kaposvari lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost. Kormend will meet Kecskemeti (#5) on the road in the next round. Kaposvari will play against FS Debrecen (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
