Regular Season Round 22: Szolnok - Soproni 84-70

A Division top team - Szolnok (19-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Soproni (11-11) 84-70. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. Soproni was better in third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Szolnok won last quarter 26-13. American players dominated the game. Guard Obie Trotter (186-84, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ivory Clark (198-85) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Thomas Kelley (188-77, college: Michigan St., agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Robert Jarvis (180-87, college: ORU) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Szolnok have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-3 record, which they share with Albacomp. Soproni at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Szolnok will play against Falco-Szova (#7) in Szombathely in the next round where they are favorite. Soproni will play at home against Atomeromu in Paks and hopes to get back on the winning track.
