The game in Novosibirsk supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Spartak Vidnoye (13-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Dynamo-GUVD (5-11). Spartak Vidnoye smashed Dynamo-GUVD 81-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dynamo-GUVD to just 3 points in fourth quarter and to 8 points in second half. Spartak Vidnoye held Dynamo-GUVD to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Spartak Vidnoye forced 22 Dynamo-GUVD turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Spartak Vidnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Israeli-American guard Sue Bird (175-80, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and Serbian forward Sonja Petrovic (189-89) who added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Montenegrin swingman Ana Dabovic (183-89) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international center Natalya Myasoedova (192-87) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartak Vidnoye have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record having four points less than leader UMMC. Dynamo-GUVD lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will meet at home Spartak St.Petersburg (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Dynamo-GUVD will play against Spartak-SHVSM in Moscow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
