Regular Season Round 22: FS Debrecen - PVSK Pannon 94-100

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked PVSK Pannon (10-11) beat on the road 13th ranked FS Debrecen (1-21) 100-94 on Sunday. FS Debrecen trailed by 20 points at halftime and as many as 25 after three quarters before a 37-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 94-100 at the end of the game. PVSK Pannon made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) notched 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists to lead the effort and Croatian guard Josip Glavinic (192-82) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. PVSK Pannon's coach Srecko Sekulovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 28 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by Cameroonian forward Yves Mekongo (201-87, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for FS Debrecen. American power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) added 19 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Four FS Debrecen players scored in double figures. PVSK Pannon maintains ninth position with 10-11 record. FS Debrecen lost eighteenth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Salgotarjani. PVSK Pannon will meet at home bottom-ranked Salgotarjani (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. FS Debrecen will play against Kaposvari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
