There was a small surprise in Szeged where eleventh ranked Szedeak (10-14) beat 9th ranked Soproni (11-13) 96-84 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 32-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Szedeak made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gabor Drahos (185-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and Serbian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-85) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Andras Molnar (195-83) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Thomas Kelley (188-77, college: Michigan St., agency: Avi Zilberman) scored 18 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Szedeak and four Soproni players scored in double figures. Szedeak moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Marso-Vagep. Soproni lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Szedeak will meet higher ranked Falco-Szova (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Soproni will play against PVSK Pannon in Pecs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
