LNA top team - Lugano Tigers (24-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Starwings (13-14) in Basel 88-63. The game without a history. Lugano Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Starwings' 36. It was a great evening for American-Nigerian guard Michael Efevberha (196-84, college: Cal.St. Northridge) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. American center Sean Finn (212-82, college: Dayton) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Four Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers' coach Joe Whelton felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Vernard Hollins (190-80, college: Wright St., agency: Warren Sports International) with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Tony Brown (193-79, college: Arkansas St.) scored 21 points and 5 assists. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-3 record. Starwings at the other side keep the sixth position with 14 games lost.
