Regular Season Round 27: BBC Nyon - Geneve Lions 82-86

Very expected game when 9th ranked BBC Nyon (4-23) lost at home to third ranked Geneve Lions (19-8) 86-82 on Saturday. BBC Nyon was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-18 charge of Geneve Lions, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 BBC Nyon turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Geneve Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Marcus Sloan (205-82, college: TCU) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Congolese forward Max Kouguere (198-87) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. American swingman Lester Hunte (196-88, college: Northwood Fl.) came up with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Chad Byron (188-87, college: Cumberlands) added 30 points respectively for BBC Nyon in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Geneve Lions maintains third place with 19-8 record having five points less than leader Lugano Tigers. BBC Nyon lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 23 games lost.
