Regular Season Round 25: Szolnok - Atomeromu 91-82

An interesting game for Szolnok (21-4) which hosted in Szolnok 3rd placed Atomeromu (18-7). First ranked Szolnok managed to get a 9-point victory 91-82. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Atomeromu. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-82. Szolnok looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Marton Bader (212-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Akos Horvath (194-81) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Jibril Hodges (188-84, college: Long Beach St.) added 16 points and 11 assists in the effort for Atomeromu. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Szolnok maintains first place with 21-4 record, which they share with Albacomp. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Szolnok is looking forward to face Szedeak (#10) in Szeged in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Atomeromu will play at home against ZTE KK (#7) in Zalaegerszeg and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
