Regular Season Round 26: Szedeak - Szolnok 88-103

A Division top team - Szolnok (22-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Szedeak (9-17) in Szeged 103-88. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. Szedeak managed to win fourth quarter 29-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Obie Trotter (186-84, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Akos Horvath (194-81) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Szolnok's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Bryson McKenzie (211-83, college: N.Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Janou Rubin (193-82, college: UCLA) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Szolnok have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-4 record, which they share with Albacomp. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
