Regular Season Round 23: Enisey - Unics 76-101

PBL top team - Unics Kazan (16-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (10-12) 101-76. The game was mostly controlled by Unics Kazan. Enisey Krasnoyarsk was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Unics Kazan forced 19 Enisey Krasnoyarsk turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Unics Kazan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Terrell Lyday (190-79, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!) and 5 steals (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). Polish-Swedish center Maciej Lampe (210-85) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Unics Kazan players scored in double figures. American center Lonny Baxter (204-79, college: Maryland, agency: Priority Sports) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Marcus Williams (191-85, college: Connecticut) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics Kazan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-5 record. Enisey Krasnoyarsk at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Unics Kazan will play against Krasnie Krilya (#8) in Samara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play on the road against Dynamo Moscow and hopes to get back on the winning track.
