PBL top team - Unics Kazan (18-6) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Krasnie Krilya (8-16) 100-79. The game without a history. Unics Kazan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Polish-Swedish center Maciej Lampe (210-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Kelly McCarty (201-75, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Avi Zilberman) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Slovenian power forward Primoz Brezec (216-79) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Gerald Green (202-86, college: High School, agency: Lanshire Group) scored 16 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics Kazan maintains first position with 18-6 record. Krasnie Krilya lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 16 games lost. Unics Kazan will face BC Nizhny Novgorod (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Krasnie Krilya will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
