Regular Season Round 1: Fener.Ulker - Caja Laboral 66-69

Fenerbahce Ulker opened 2011/12 Euroleague season in style. The Vitoria team grabbed 66-69 road victory against the reigning Turkish champion Fenerbahce Ulker. Both squads are placed to Group A of the regular season. Mirza Teletovic was a key player in victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Milko Bjelica secured a nice help adding 12 points and 5 rebs, while Kevin Seraphin added 10 points and 6 rebs. In Fener, Omer Onan top-scored with 16 points. James Gist (7 rebs) and Roko-Leni Ukic netted 10 points each. It was a very exciting game until the end. Oleson brought Caja Laboral 64-68 lead from the free throw line and there was 18 seconds to go. Omer Onan got to the line with 14.6 seconds left and converted twice. Fener quickly fouled Ribas, who made only 1 free throw, thus opening the door for the hosts. Roko-Leni Ukic found a wide-open Omer Onan at the top of the key, but his shot bounced out and Laboral managed to grab the rebound and claim a crucial road win. Quarters: 20-12, 16-22, 12-19, 18-16. In the next game, Caja Laboral will host Bennet Cantu. Fenerbahce Ulker will meet Olympiakos on the road.
