Starwings can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Boncourt (1-3) 84-71. The game was mostly controlled by Starwings. Boncourt was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Starwings players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW, agency: Warren Sports International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian-Irish swingman Tony McCrory (199-77, college: Simon Fraser) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and international Reto Schwaiger (192-87) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boncourt. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Starwings left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with BBC Nyon and Boncourt. Starwings will play against bottom-ranked SAM Massagno (#9) on the road in the next round. Boncourt will have a break next round.
