Regular Season Round 3: FS Debrecen - Szedeak 94-91

A very interesting game took place in Debrecen. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Szedeak (0-3) to ninth ranked FS Debrecen (1-1) 94-91 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 25-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. FS Debrecen players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo) who scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Forward Daniel Takacs (198-86) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Tomislav Ivosev who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-85) added 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. FS Debrecen left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Newly promoted Szedeak still closes the standings with three games lost. FS Debrecen's next round opponent will be Soproni (#9) on the road. Szedeak will play against Szolnok in Szolnok and hopes to get finally their first victory.
