The game with biggest result difference took place in Khimki. Local Khimky (2-0) beat 10th ranked BC Nizhny Novgorod (1-2) 86-78. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-11. But BC Nizhny Novgorod won third quarter 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. International guard Vitaly Fridzon (195-85, agency: Alti Sport) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Croatian-Bosnian guard Zoran Planinic (199-82) supported him with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 21 points and 6 assists by American-Bosnian guard Ernest Bremer (195-80, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Higher Vision Sports) did not help to save the game for BC Nizhny Novgorod. Serbian guard Nemanja Protic (182-86) added 18 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimky keeps a position of league leader, which they share with CSKA. BC Nizhny Novgorod at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Khimky's next round opponent will be Spartak St.Petersburg (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. BC Nizhny Novgorod will play against Spartak-Prim. in Vladivostok.
