Very expected game when 8th ranked FS Debrecen (1-3) was smashed at home by top-ranked Szolnok (4-0) 94-54 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Szolnok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Szolnok had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Obie Trotter (186-84, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Szolnok's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Miklos Szabo (206-86, college: Hofstra) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for FS Debrecen. Szolnok have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kecskemeti and Kormend. Loser FS Debrecen dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. Szolnok will face Marso NYKK (#7) in Nyiregyhaza in the next round where they are favorite. FS Debrecen will play at home against Falco-Szova in Szombathely.
