LNA top team - Fribourg (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Ovronnaz-Mart. (1-3) in Martigny 95-52. The game without a history. Fribourg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ovronnaz-Mart. to just 6 points in second quarter. Fribourg dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ovronnaz-Mart.'s 34. Fribourg forced 25 Ovronnaz-Mart. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Ovronnaz-Mart.'s players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Celeste Trahan (184-85, college: Elizabeth City, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 17-of-22 shooting from the field) and forward Dana Bozovic (180-93) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Fribourg players scored in double figures. Fribourg's coach Romain Gaspoz felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Barbados swingman Jamila Griffith (183-82, college: Md-Eastern Shore) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Hungarian forward Ildiko Szakacs (187-81) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Fribourg have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Ovronnaz-Mart. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Nyon and Highflyers. Fribourg will play against league's second-placed Helios in Vetroz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ovronnaz-Mart. will play at home against the league's second-placed Helios (#2) in Vetroz to get more than just one victory in their record.
