Regular Season Round 3: Brose Bask. - Unicaja 78-79

Unicaja did a great job in Bamberg last night. The Malaga team grabbed 78-79 thriller win for 2-1 record in Group B. At the same time, Brose Baskets slipped to 1-2. It was a very exciting finish. Brian Roberts drained a triple for 78-77 Brose Baskets’ lead with 13 seconds to go. Unicaja had the possession and Kristaps Valters tried for 3, but he missed. Fortunately to Unicaja, there was Berni Rodriguez who grabbed an the offensive rebounds and hit a fadeaway jumper that went right in to put Unicaja ahead once again, 78-79 and 4 seconds to go. Jacobsen put the ball in bounds again and Roberts received. He pulled up with a clear shot, but this time the ball didn't go in and Unicaja escaped victorious from Bamberg. Joel Freeland led Unicaja with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Luka Zoric had 13 points and 7 boards, while Nedzad Sinanovic helped with 11 points for 12 minutes on the court. In Brose Baskets, Marcus Slaughter (6 rebs) and Brian Roberts scored 16 points each. Julius Jenkins and Anton Gavel had 14 pts apiece. Quarters: 27-22, 11-20, 23-21, 17-16. Unicaja's next rival will be Zagreb. Brose Baskets will take on Zalgiris in Kaunas.
