Szedeak's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Soproni (2-3) 86-74 on Saturday. Szedeak made 27-of-29 free shots (93.1 percent) during the game, while Soproni only scored seven points from the stripe. Serbian Tomislav Ivosev nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Gabor Drahos (185-79) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Andras Molnar (195-83, agency: TSS Management) came up with 18 points and 4 steals and American guard Janou Rubin (193-82, college: UCLA) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Soproni in the defeat. Szedeak (1-4) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Soproni keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Marso NYKK and Jaszberenyi. Szedeak will meet higher ranked Falco-Szova (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soproni will play against the league's second-placed Szolnok and will have a slim chance for a victory.
