Regular Season Round 4: Asseco Prok. - Unics 68-72

Unics grabbed valuable victory in Gdynia on Wednesday evening. The Russian team celebrated 68-72 win against Asseco Prokom to join Galatasaray with 2-2 record in Group D. The Polish powerhouse faced with fourth straight loss in this pool. Prokom had 68-67 lead late in the last quarter, but then Henry Domercant stepped up for the guests with a clutch three-pointer with 36 seconds on the clock, 68-70. Donatas Motiejunas missed a wide-open look from beyond the arc and Prokom fouled Gubonov on the next possession. He hit both free throws to seal the game, 68-72. Henry Domercant scored 23 points for Unics (4 triples). Kelly McCarty had 13 points and center Alexey Savrasenko added 10 points, plus 7 rebounds. The hosts got 19 points and 9 boards from Donatas Motiejunas. Michael Kuebler and Oliver Lafayette (5 as) netted 15 and 14 points respectively. Quarters: 12-17, 18-12, 16-16, 22-27. Unics will host Union Olimpija next weekend. Asseco Prokom goes to Siena and it will be very hard for them to avoid another loss.
