Regular Season Round 7: Kaposvari - Atomeromu 82-60

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kaposvar, where higher ranked Atomeromu (4-3) was outleveled in a road game by eleventh ranked Kaposvari (3-4) 82-60. The game without a history. Kaposvari led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Atomeromu's 38 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Atomeromu 39-17 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Nik Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Priority Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import power forward Michael Fey (213-83, college: UCLA) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. International swingman David Vojvoda (191-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) came up with 17 points and American guard Lorenzo Williams (191-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for Atomeromu in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kaposvari have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Soproni and Marso NYKK. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Kaposvari's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Albacomp in Szekesfehervar and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
