Regular Season Round 8: Albacomp - Kaposvari 84-71
Date: November 26, 2011
Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Kaposvari (3-5) lost to second ranked Albacomp (7-1) in Szekesfehervar 71-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Albacomp. Kaposvari managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Albacomp dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kaposvari's 38. The winners were led by American forward Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and the former international point guard Balazs Simon (188-80, agency: Court Side) supported him with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Albacomp players scored in double figures. Even 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals by American guard Nik Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Kaposvari. His fellow American import power forward Michael Fey (213-83, college: UCLA) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Kaposvari's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacomp have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kormend and Falco-Szova. Loser Kaposvari dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Albacomp will meet Marso NYKK (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kaposvari will play against FS Debrecen and hope to secure a win.
