Regular Season Round 8: Jaszberenyi - FS Debrecen 94-100
Date: November 26, 2011
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked FS Debrecen (2-6) beat on the road 12th ranked Jaszberenyi (2-6) 100-94 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 27-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. FS Debrecen made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo) who scored that evening 46 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and power forward Miklos Szabo (206-86, college: Hofstra) supported him with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four FS Debrecen players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds by American center Jonathan Jones (211-79, agency: TSS Management) did not help to save the game for Jaszberenyi. His fellow American import guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St., agency: TSS Management) added 26 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FS Debrecen moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jaszberenyi and Szedeak. Jaszberenyi lost third consecutive game. FS Debrecen will meet higher ranked Kaposvari (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jaszberenyi will play against Szedeak in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
