Leader Ural Ekaterinburg delivered the eleventh victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Severstal (5-7) 64-56 in Cherepovec. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-9. But Severstal won fourth quarter 11-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Anton Glazunov (182-86) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian forward Nikola Lepojevic (199-82, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Forward Aleksandr Lunev (201-80, agency: RIZO) answered with 17 points and forward Stanislav Zinchenko (203-87) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Severstal. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ural Ekaterinburg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-3 record. Severstal at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Ural Ekaterinburg will play against Spartak V. (#8) in Moscow in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Severstal will have a break next round.
