Regular Season Round 11: MBK Eurl.Vasas - Atomeromu 61-62

A very interesting game took place in Budapest. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked Vasas (4-7) to tenth ranked Atomeromu (3-8) 62-61 on Saturday evening. Vasas were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Atomeromu made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Regina Pap (186-94) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. International forward Reka Fejes (186-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Latvian center Anita Teilane (196-85) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and guard Szandra Pal (175-86, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 21 points and 7 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Atomeromu maintains tenth place with 3-8 record. Vasas at the other side keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Atomeromu's next round opponent will be league's leader MKB Euroleasing in Sopron and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
