The game between third ranked Universitet-Yugra (8-4) and fourth ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (7-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Universitet-Yugra was defeated by TEMP-SUMZ Revda in Revda 79-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Universitet-Yugra. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-64. TEMP-SUMZ Revda dominated on the defensive end, holding Universitet-Yugra to just 2 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Universitet-Yugra 41-22 including a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Maksim Baranov (192-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 4 steals. Forward Aleksey Kirjanov (206-81) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) scored 13 points. Universitet-Yugra's coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TEMP-SUMZ Revda maintains fourth place with 7-5 record, which they share with Rjazan. Universitet-Yugra at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. TEMP-SUMZ Revda is looking forward to face league's second-placed Ataman in Rostov in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Universitet-Yugra will play at home against Rjazan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
