Regular Season Round 12: Bacsbasket - DKSK 65-67

The most exciting game of round 12 in the A League took place in Baja. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Bajai NKK (5-7) to seventh ranked DKSK (5-7) 67-65 in the game for the sixth place. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Bajai NKK won second period 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Maja Skoric (184-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Maja Scekic (170-87) with 38 points (!!!) and 5 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and swingman Alexandra Theodoran (176-91) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. DKSK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Bajai NKK. Bajai NKK lost third consecutive game. DKSK is looking forward to face higher ranked Nanette FTC (#4) in Budapest in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bajai NKK will play on the road against BEAC-Ujbuda in Budapest and is hoping to win this game.
