Regular Season Round 10: Kaposvari - Szedeak 87-78
Date: December 10, 2011
There was no surprise when 10th ranked Szedeak (3-7) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Kaposvari (5-5) 87-78. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-19 Szedeak's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 87-78 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Szedeak 33-17 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Josh Wilson (188-87, college: N.Arizona, agency: Hightower Law Firm) notched 23 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Nik Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Priority Sports) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Wilson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by Serbian Tomislav Ivosev did not help to save the game for Szedeak. American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) added 20 points for lost side. Kaposvari maintains seventh position with 5-5 record. Newly promoted Szedeak keeps the tenth place with seven games lost. Kaposvari's next round opponent will be Soproni (#9) on the road.
