There was no surprise in Novosibirsk where 10th ranked Energy Ivanovo (1-7) was defeated by eighth ranked Dynamo-GUVD (2-5) 74-59 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-GUVD. Energy Ivanovo managed to win second period 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo-GUVD forced 19 Energy Ivanovo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ksenia Kolosovskaia (180-82) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Elena Mishkareva (171-87) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Five Dynamo-GUVD players scored in double figures. Forward Alla Gavrilitsa (187-83) responded with 14 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Natalja Melenteva (185-78, agency: LBM Management) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo-GUVD moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Spartak SP. Energy Ivanovo lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Dynamo-GUVD will meet Dynamo Moscow (#9) on the road in the next round. Energy Ivanovo will play against Dynamo Kursk.
