Regular Season Round 9: Montepaschi - FCB Regal 77-74

Amazing last quarter helped Montepaschi to beat Regal Barca 77-74 on Thursday night handing the Spanish champion first Euroleague loss of the season. Montepaschi improved its score to 7-2 in Group D, while visitors slipped to 8-1. Barca is the winner of this pool due to great victory against Montepaschi in their first meeting earlier this season. Igor Rakocevic delivered 21 points for Italians and Pietro Aradori had one less. Nikolaos Zisis netted 16 points in this victory. In Barca, Erazem Lorbek was way better than the others with 22 points and 5 rebounds (valuation 29). Chuck Eidson scored 14 and Pete Mickeal stopped to 9 pts. With 26 seconds to go in the game, Aradori gave Siena the lead on two foul shots, 75-74, then Rakocevic added more points from the line as the hosts completed a thrilling comeback to take the win 77-74. Quarters: 23-20, 13-15, 11-24, 30-15. In the last round of the regular season Montapeschi will play against Asseco Prokom in Gdynia. Barca will host Galatasaray.
