Soproni (#9) forced the game against Kaposvari (#7) into an overtime, but lost by six points 91-97. The game took place in Sopron. But the guests from Kaposvar were better at the end. Soproni was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 23-17 charge of Kaposvari, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-12. Kaposvari made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Soproni was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Wilson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Nigerian center Benson Egemonye (207-83, college: Niagara) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) scored 25 points and 5 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kaposvari. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kecskemeti. Soproni at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Szedeak. Kaposvari will play against higher ranked Falco-Szova (#3) in Szombathely in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soproni will play on the road against Marso NYKK (#12) in Nyiregyhaza and hopes to get back on the winning track.
