PBL top team - Spartak Vidnoye (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Energy Ivanovo (1-9) 103-54. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Energy Ivanovo's 30. Spartak Vidnoye forced 26 Energy Ivanovo turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 30 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Energy Ivanovo's players. It was a great evening for Serbian forward Jelena Milovanovic (190-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Becky Hammon (168-77, college: Colorado St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Natalya Dorovskikh (186-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and center Olga Zhuzhgova (204-88) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Spartak Vidnoye and four Energy Ivanovo players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartak Vidnoye have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Energy Ivanovo lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Spartak Vidnoye are looking forward to face Dynamo Moscow (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Energy Ivanovo will play against the league's second-placed UMMC Ekaterinburg and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
