Rather predictable result in Budapest where ninth ranked Vasas (5-11) defeated 11th ranked BSE-FCSM (1-15) 58-50. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 15-11 BSE-FCSM's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 58-50 at the end of the game. Vasas forced 19 BSE-FCSM turnovers and outrebounded them 38-19 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Latvian center Anita Teilane (196-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Lilla Adamecz (181-92) supported her with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even 18 points and 6 steals by the former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) did not help to save the game for BSE-FCSM. Guard Dora Szondy (173-88) added 12 points and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vasas moved-up to seventh place, which they share with DKSK and Cegledi EKK. BSE-FCSM lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with ELTE-BEAC. Vasas will play against Cegledi EKK (#9) at home in the next round. BSE-FCSM will play against Atomeromu in Szekszard and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
