LNA top team - Lugano Tigers (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Boncourt (4-11) 104-73. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. Boncourt was better in third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lugano Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Boncourt's 32. They outrebounded Boncourt 38-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Mohammed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Interperformances) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and swingman Edwin Draughan (196-82, college: Yale) accounted for 25 points and 6 assists. Lugano Tigers' coach Randoald Dessarzin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard John Sharper (186-84, college: San Diego St.) came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds and forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Boncourt in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record.
