Regular Season Round 16: Szedeak - FS Debrecen 78-81

A very interesting game took place in Szeged. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Szedeak (5-11) to thirteenth ranked FS Debrecen (4-12) 81-78 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Szedeak took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then FS Debrecen had a 30-15 second period charge getting the lead and Szedeak was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-81. FS Debrecen made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Szedeak turnovers. American point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo) fired 24 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners. The other American import forward Michael Schachtner (206-86, college: Wisc.-Green Bay, agency: Court Side) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian Tomislav Ivosev produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) added 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. FS Debrecen moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Jaszberenyi. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. FS Debrecen's next round opponent will be higher ranked Soproni (#10) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
