Regular Season Round 16: Soproni - Albacomp 75-72

A Division round 16 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Albacomp (13-2) against eleventh ranked Soproni (6-10) 75-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Albacomp. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Soproni made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Andras Molnar (195-83, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) replied with 17 points and the former international point guard Balazs Simon (188-80, agency: Court Side) added 17 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) in the effort for Albacomp. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Soproni moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Marso NYKK. Albacomp at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kormend. Albacomp will play next round against strong Falco-Szova trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Soproni will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked FS Debrecen on the road.
