Bilbao registered first win in the Euroleague Top 16. They handed 85-70 loss to Unicaja joining Real Madrid with 1-1 record in Group F. At the other side, Unicaja dropped to 0-2 after this meeting. Kostas Vasiliadis top-scored for the hosts with 19 points. Alex Mumbru collected 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and Aaron Jackson helped Bilbao with 14 points. The team from Malaga got 18 points from Joel Freeland. Gerald Fitch (5 rebs) and Hrvoje Peric netted 17 and 11 points respectively. Crucial period of the game was the beginning of the last quarter, when Bilbao made 16-4 run for 74-56 lead. It was too much for Unicaja. Quarters: 22-17, 14-17, 22-18, 27-18. Bilbao will meet Real in Madrid in the next round. Unicaja waits Montepaschi.
