The game in Basel was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Hope-GBA (6-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Basel (6-6). Basel managed to secure a 6-point victory 53-47. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hope-GBA. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hope-GBA won fourth quarter 11-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American center Megan Skouby (193-86, college: Iowa) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. International power forward Eva Moldovanyi (183-87) accounted for 6 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Sarah Cavin (178-92) came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Rosalie Grobet (185-92) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Hope-GBA in the defeat. Basel moved-up to fourth place. Hope-GBA at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Basel's next round opponent will be Highflyers (#8) in Luzern. Hope-GBA will play at home against Pully and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
