The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Triumph Lyubertsy's (5-3) road victory over 5th ranked Krasnie Krilya (4-5) in Samara 75-69 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Krasnie Krilya won third quarter 28-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Triumph Lyubertsy won last quarter 19-15. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Dmitry Kulagin (195-92) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Triumph Lyubertsy players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Court Side) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Krasnie Krilya. Krasnie Krilya's coach Sergey Bazarevich rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Triumph Lyubertsy have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Krasnie Krilya at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Triumph Lyubertsy will face Unics Kazan (#6) at home in the next round.
