Top 16 Round 3: Olympiacos - Anadolu Efes 83-65

Olympiakos blasted Anadolu Efes in the last ten minutes registering the first victory in Euroleague Top 16. The Reds celebrated 83-65 and joined Efes with 1-2 record in Group E. Vassilis Spanoulis top-scored for the home squad with 18 points. Konstantinos Sloukas had 15 points and Joey Dorsey helped with 10 points, plus 5 rebounds. For the guests, Tarence Kinsey shined with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Sasha Vujacic scored 12, while Esteban Batista added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Olympiakos made 20-12 lead in the first ten minutes of play and Efes cut the margin to 41-36 until the halftime. Visitors took control on Olympiakos after the breather and managed to tie the score to 53-53 at the end of Q3. Vassilis Spanoulis and his teammates exploded at the beginning of the last period and created 11-0 run. They jumped to 73-58 with less than five minutes to go and later had no troubles to keep the lead. Quarters: 20-12, 21-24, 12-17, 30-12. Two teams will meet again next week, but Efes will be the host.
