Top 16 Round 3: Unicaja - Montepaschi 68-91

Montepaschi did a great job in Malaga on Thursday night. The Italian champion handed 68-91 home loss to Unicaja for perfect 3-0 record in Group F of the Euroleague Top 16. Unicaja stays the only winless team in this pool. David Moss shined for the guests with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ksistof Lavrinovic scored 18 points and David Andersen followed with 15 points, plus 6 boards. For the hosts, Joel Freeland was better than the others with 14 points and 9 rebs. Tremmell Darden scored 13 and Luka Zoric added 11 points and 7 rebs. Montepaschi opened the game strongly as they made 8-point lead in the first ten minutes. Visitors had plus 10 at the HT and plus 14 after 30 minutes of play. That was not all as Montepaschi dominated in Q4 with 11-20 for the final 68-91 road victory. Two teams will meet in Siena next week.
