The game in Baja supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Pecs 2010 (17-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Bajai NKK (7-12). Pecs 2010 smashed Bajai NKK 77-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pecs 2010. Bajai NKK managed to win fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Bajai NKK 42-23 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Stefanie Lynn Murphy (193-89, college: Boston Coll.) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Amadea Szamosi (190-94) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Petra Szabo (183-87) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and power forward Bettina Bozoki (190-89) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Pecs 2010. Defending champion maintains third place with 17-2 record having just two points less than leader UNIQA Eurol. Bajai NKK lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Pecs 2010 will meet at home ZTE (#4) in the next round. Bajai NKK will play against BSE-FCSM in Budapest and hope to secure a win.
