There was no surprise when 11th ranked Szedeak (5-13) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Soproni (8-10) 85-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Soproni led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Soproni outrebounded Szedeak 42-24 including 18 on the offensive glass. American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) scored 26 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Janou Rubin (193-82, college: UCLA) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Soproni players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nebojsa Dukic (206-85) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soproni have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Szedeak lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Jaszberenyi. Soproni will meet higher ranked Szolnok (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Szedeak will play against the league's leader Falco-Szova (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
