PBL top team - Spartak Vidnoye (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (4-11) 77-59. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak Vidnoye. Spartak St.Petersburg was better in fourth quarter 25-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spartak Vidnoye forced 21 Spartak St.Petersburg turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Becky Hammon (168-77, college: Colorado St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists and American guard Seimone Augustus (187-84, college: LSU) who added 11 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Yulia Lukina (185-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Ekaterina Timofeeva scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartak Vidnoye have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Spartak St.Petersburg at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Dynamo M.. Spartak Vidnoye will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Spartak St.Petersburg will play at home against Energy Ivanovo (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
