An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sopron. Top-ranked MKB Euroleasing faced second-ranked UNI SEAT. Host MKB Euroleasing (20-0) defeated guests from Gyor (18-2) 69-62. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of UNI SEAT. It looked good early as UNI SEAT took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then MKB Euroleasing had a 15-12 second period charge getting the lead and UNI SEAT was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-69. MKB Euroleasing made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game. UNI SEAT was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Ukrainian forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Zsofia Fegyverneky (178-84, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. MKB Euroleasing's coach Norbert Szekely allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and Croatian guard Iva Ciglar (170-85, agency: Data Plus Group) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UNI SEAT. MKB Euroleasing have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-0 record. UNI SEAT at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Pecs 2010. MKB Euroleasing will play against ZTE (#4) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round. UNI SEAT will play at home against Pecs 2010 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
