Regular Season Round 20: BSE-FCSM - Bacsbasket 59-76

No shocking result in a game in Budapest where sixth ranked Bajai NKK (8-12) defeated 11th ranked BSE-FCSM (2-18) 76-59. BSE-FCSM was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 39-18 second half run of Bajai NKK. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BSE-FCSM to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Bajai NKK forced 20 BSE-FCSM turnovers. The winners were led by Serbian guard Maja Scekic (170-87) who scored that evening 28 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Petra Szabo (183-87) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 16 points by guard Dora Szondy (173-88) did not help to save the game for BSE-FCSM. The former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) added 15 points for the hosts. BSE-FCSM's coach Artur Puskas rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bajai NKK maintains sixth position with 8-12 record. BSE-FCSM at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost. Bajai NKK's next round opponent will be Cegledi EKK (#10) at home. BSE-FCSM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Budapest to the arena Nanette FTC.
