An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Moscow. First ranked CSKA Moscow faced 3rd placed Triumph Lyubertsy. Host CSKA Moscow (10-1) defeated guests from Lubertsy (6-4) 99-83. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Triumph Lyubertsy. The game was mostly controlled by CSKA Moscow. Triumph Lyubertsy was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CSKA Moscow made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. CSKA Moscow outrebounded Triumph Lyubertsy 38-20 including a 29-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. CSKA Moscow brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Triumph Lyubertsy was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Andrei Kirilenko (205-81) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian center Nenad Krstic (213-83) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) answered with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian power forward Kyle Landry (207-86, college: N.Arizona) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Triumph Lyubertsy. Five CSKA Moscow and four Triumph Lyubertsy players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSKA Moscow have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Triumph Lyubertsy at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. CSKA Moscow will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Triumph Lyubertsy will play against Unics Kazan (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
